Growing Catholics is a social media invitation to Catholics of all ages to read and reflect upon daily Bible quotes set within an attractive natural setting. With Growing Catholic’s success, MAGNIFY is its latest initiative to help our young people navigate the pressures of their lives by embracing the Word of God and affirming in them God’s great love and a hope-filled heart.

As a high school administrator, I grow more concerned by the day with the increasing levels of anxiety and depression experienced by our students.  As their lives become busier and they face more academic, extracurricular, and social pressure, they move further from the true happiness that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can bring.  Growing Catholics and the Magnify Program is the perfect way for teens to disconnect from what's unimportant and reconnect with the good news of Catholicism and with the peace and joy that come with a deepening faith.

WOW. This series was a springboard into authentic discussions about faith and discipleship with my students. They were willing to open up about their issues, like fear, doubt, comparison, and identity. It solidified us as a group and strengthened individual peer relationships. And it was a gift to walk beside them and grow in my own relationship with Christ at the same time.

Magnify is a great way to help youth come to know Christ and not just know about Him.  The peer to peer videos are engaging and the challenges are not just spiritual, but practical and accomplishable for teens.  Magnify is easy to implement and is a valuable resource for any youth group or educational setting.

I never knew how to have a relationship with God and now I am beginning to.  I talk to Him a lot now and try to listen to Him in my heart.

I really like the Challenges. They help me show my faith to the world.

Magnify challenged me to think differently.  I never viewed my identity as a child of God and I think I really needed to hear that.

It felt like they were talking right to me. I related to the guy who talked about his anxiety and depression.  I am trying to go to God more as a source of hope.

Watching the videos helped me to understand how to apply Scripture in real life. The challenges made prayer more interesting for me and helped me with the pressures I feel.  I was able to take a breath during my day and find some peace.

I just have to say this, I wasn’t sure how the parent/child pairing would work, but let me tell you, it has been such an amazing journey. Just the fact that we are both sitting down together, openly and willingly speaking about God has been such a miracle in itself.

I have been going through Magnify with my thirteen-year-old son. Though it is tough for a boy that age to sit still for very long (unless it's to play video games!), he is usually engaged by the videos and the challenges have prompted him to share some things I didn't know were in him. I have to say that this program has given us an opportunity to talk about the Faith in a way we never have before.

We as parents are always guiding and correcting our children in every aspect of their lives. But for 5 to sometimes 60 minutes each day during the Challenge, my daughter and I are speaking to one another on equal ground. Julia is learning from me, but I’m learning from Julia and God is doing everything in between.
